The proprietor of Owen Machining? is a large imposing man. Between his large orange beard and hat pulled low over his eyes it’s hard to even see what he looks like. He is the father of Ashley and Asher Owen. He is a man of few words but is a tireless and inventive machinist. He is highly proficient in building and maintaining machinery, and owns and operates the sailboat Theseus II.
Bruno is a former Empyrean submarine officer who defected during the war after receiving an order to attack Estavelle. He and his crew were granted asylum by The Carolyn? and they now live as exiles. He married his second in command, but a few years after the war he returned to the Empryeum, leaving Bruno and their two young children behind.
