The Empyreum
To the east of Carolinia? lies The Empyreum, a vast empire that once controlled the planet pole to pole. After a series of succession wars, it controls only slightly over half the planet.
Over the last century, a cult of Lilii Borea has held strong influence over the Empyreum, ushering in new technologies never before seen. Computerized networks connect everything, including people via the ubiquitous "halo" brain interface. At the same time, they have eschewed Artifice, though they are more lenient than the past? when Artifice users were hunted and persecuted.
