Estavelle
Estavelle is a city in the otherwise sparsely populated coastal lowlands south of the Carolinian Mountains?. It is notable for being the only city within the bounds of the Dixie Leyline?, the largest Leyline on the planet. To combat the Slippage that occurs due to the high amounts of free Artifice Citizens of Estavelle rely on two great crystalline Artifice Condensers?.
Estavelle is built on a peninsula between two rivers that start in the Carolinian Mountains, flow through Estavelle Forest, and then combine into Estavelle Harbor before flowing out to sea. The Condensers float above each river and are attached to the North and South Estavelle Rail Bridges? that connect the peninsula to the mainland. The only way to reach Estavelle proper is via the trains or ferries.
Estavelle is the #1 exporter of condensed Artifice, which is used all over the planet to produce Artiphysical effects in locations where ambient Artifice is too low to support it. The production of condensed Artifice and its export is overseen by the Alchemists Guild?.
Estavelle is also home to The Sanctum?, where the fearsome Adepts are trained in the use of Battle Artifice.
Estavelle is subject to the sovereign Carolin?, whose representative in the city is The Lord Mayor?.
